The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day will be observed on September 30. The day is dedicated to honouring the children who never returned home and the survivors of residential schools, their families and communities, and recognizing the tragic history and ongoing impacts of the residential school system.
As part of LM-ESP’s Commitment to the Winnipeg Indigenous Accord, LM-ESP team members are fully supported to take time away from their work day to participate in diverse events, learning opportunities and local recognitions honouring the day. LM-ESP’s commitment to pause, listen, reflect and grow our collective knowledge is part of our firm’s Calls to Action, along with resource sharing, strengthening partnerships and working together with Indigenous and non-Indigenous individuals and organizations to support and help advance the truth and reconciliation process.
