Our Team Makes the Difference
LM-ESP’s legacy in delivering high quality architecture and interior design is supported by inspired building users, loyal clients, strong partner relationships and numerous Canadian design awards dating back to the 1950s. These achievements are the result of a diverse group of passionate team members who are motivated to make a meaningful impact in our communities. We value our inclusive and collaborative workplace culture by providing ongoing opportunities to learn and grow, continuously encouraging new ideas and teamwork, and collectively creating an environment where we can lead healthy, productive and fulfilling lives.
Opportunities
We are always looking for talented, motivated and collaborative team members to join our firm. Check out our current position openings on the right or reach out to us at any time through our Contact Us email to share your motivation, experience and passion for the industry.
Culture

Creativity is in the air. Our open office layout allows us to build strong work relationships as we share ideas and work through concepts as part of a collaborative design approach. Inclusivity and open dialogue make our team stronger and allows us to deepen our impact in the work that we do. Healthy living and work-life balance are important to us and are supported by LM-ESP’s continually evolving wellness program.

We help to make a positive difference towards the industry’s ongoing progress in the region and across the country through our strong involvement with professional associations and networks. LM-ESP is active in the community and regularly participates in local events, fundraisers, design initiatives, tours and learning opportunities. The office is truly our landing space, where we connect between site visits, meetings and other engagements that take us well beyond the fifth floor we occupy on Market Avenue.

The Work Experience
Come to work in a beautifully restored historic building in the heart of Winnipeg’s Exchange District. You can bike, walk, run or bus to work with close access to active and public transportation systems. We work in the core of the city, opening the door to easily attend meetings or conferences in the downtown core. A stone’s throw away from some of Winnipeg’s best in art, food, markets and entertainment, we are actively involved in the Exchange District community and participate in local initiatives celebrating the neighbourhood.
Professional Development
We believe professional growth is an extremely valuable investment. Whether it’s mentoring a team member to advance, helping someone transition to another role, or supporting an employee’s desire to learn something new, we know that professional development is key to job satisfaction and staff retention. At LM-ESP, team members can steer their own course in diverse directions, demonstrate leadership within smaller teams and hone skills through an array of opportunities across various sectors of work. We are committed to helping everyone realize their full potential in alignment with individual career goals.

Highly-motivated, driven students looking for an opportunity to grow and advance should look no further. Inside our office, a number of former architect and interior design interns are now part of our team across all levels of the firm. We offer hands-on mentors, supportive supervisors and an inviting atmosphere to support your career growth.
Architect and Interior Designer Student Job Opportunities
We welcome students to join our team to gain first-hand experience in the architecture and interior design industry. These positions are typically part of our summer job hiring practices when undergraduate students are looking for full-time work. We encourage those interested to reach out to us any time for more information.
Annual Architecture Fellowship
Mel Michener is one of the two founding partners of our firm. In honour of his lifelong contributions to architecture in our community, we are proud to present the Mel Michener Architectural Fellowship each year to a deserving student in their final year of the University of Manitoba’s Master of Architecture program. The fellowship recognizes a graduate who demonstrates the necessary skills to be a future leader in the profession, and past recipients have gone on to become influential team members at our firm.
