LM/ESP is pleased to welcome the following talented individuals to our growing design team.
DENIS FLEURY BID, PIDIM (Provisional),
Interior Designer
As an Interior Designer and Project Manager with over 16 years of combined experience in design, project management and construction, Denis has managed health care, corporate office, government, research laboratory and retail development projects. Denis has extensive experience with maintenance of budgets and schedules, client coordination, overseeing construction documents production and construction contract administration. He is a tremendous communicator, has impeccable attention to detail and meticulous consideration for the success of the project on site. Denis has a proven ability to ensure that the final product meets or exceeds the client’s expectations.
Denis started his career after completing the B.I.D. program at the UofM, working on projects such as the relocation of Credit Union Central of Manitoba, multiple WRHA Access Centers and the Manitoba Institute of Child Health (now Children’s Hospital Research Institute of Manitoba). More Recently he has worked on the renovation of the 4th floor Court rooms at the Manitoba Law courts building, the offices of Deeley Fabbri Sellen LLP, HSC’s Guildy’s Eatery & Mini-Mart, the Entrance and Welcome Desk at HSC’s 820 Sherbrook, the renovation at the 289 Garry St. building and the IBEW Training Centre.
Denis grew up in a francophone community in rural Manitoba and in his spare time Denis enjoys building and renovating around his property west of Winnipeg where he keeps a few laying hens and a fresh supply of eggs for his family. Denis enjoys the outdoors and he actively participates with his kids in a local mountain biking club called Kids of Mud.
Denis is ecstatic to be joining the team at ESP.
JASON SHIELDS B. Env. D.
Design Assistant
Born and Raised in Winnipeg, Jason graduated in 2013 with his Bachelors of Environmental Design in the Interior Design program. In December of 2016 he completed his practicum presentation for the Master’s Degree of Interior Design program and is currently awaiting confirmation of his degree. We are pleased to have him working full time at ESP after spending many years in our office as a part time Student Design Assistant.
Past University design work has included the design of restaurants, hotels, hospitals, pop-up cinemas, offices, nature centres and other smaller scale projects and installations. Throughout his schooling, Jason gained interest in digital production & rendering for interior environments. This includes applications such as Revit, Rhino, and other 3D design software. He has a strong passion for photography in relation to design, and has exhibited works on multiple occasions. Jason has held positions on the Interior Design Association for Students (IDAS) for multiple years as well as holding a position on the University of Manitoba Senate Committee. Jason has also worked multiple positions at the faculty of interior design and in 2016 was hired by the University of Manitoba as a Teaching Assistant for the Masters of Interior Design 2nd year studio.
His other interests include music production, computer programming, cinematography, and world travel. You can also catch him on the radio every Friday evening on UMFM 101.5.
SHOLA SHITTA-BEY B. Env. D.
Design Assistant
Shola came to Canada as a Nigerian International Student to pursue a career in Design in the Fall 2010. He speaks English fluently as well as his native language Yoruba. Shola currently holds a Bachelor of Environmental Design degree from the University of Manitoba and is looking to continue his education to obtain his Masters in Interior Design. While enrolled in the Faculty of Architecture Shola received multiple accolades including Dean’s List recognition, receipt of the International Student Scholarship for the years 2013-2016 and team winner of the Manitoba Visitability Design Competition held in the winter of 2016.
Shola officially joined the ESP team in November 2016 and has been working closely with senior staff in the design of corporate and educational projects. In addition to his design skills he contributes an in depth knowledge of rendering software such as Revit, Rhino, Vray and Photoshop.
Aside from his work and educational commitments, Shola enjoys cooking, soccer, basketball, pool, tennis and travel. Shola is very excited to be a part of the ESP team and looks forward to progressing his career as a Designer.
NICHELLE FACEY B. Env. D., PIDIM (Student)
Design Assistant
Nichelle joined the LM/ESP team in April 2016 as a summer student. She has since completed her degree in the Bachelor of Environmental Design Program at the University of Manitoba, graduating in June 2016. She continues to work part time as a Design Assistant while she pursues her Masters of Interior Design.
Nichelle has a passion for detail and creating integrated and cohesive design solutions. She is interested in learning more about the corporate design field in particular and notes to be inspired and intrigued by the challenges found in the Tiny House movement.
When not immersed in her work at ESP and continued education she enjoys gardening, painting and yoga. Nichelle is eager to advance her interior design skills at ESP as she continues her Masters education.
