Congratulations to Huntingdon Capital Corp. and the City of Winnipeg on the grand opening of the new Charleswood Library. The opening was well attended, including the likes of new mayor Brian Bowman and newly elected councilor Marty Morantz. Rick Walker from the City of Winnipeg, Manager of Library services was emcee and local students from Ecole Dieppe both sang and transferred books via the book-chain from old Charleswood library just down the street. LM Architectural Group was extremely honored to part of the design team and deeply thanks all those involved for their passion and commitment to the project. The project goal was simple, to design a space that is unique and reflective of its specific setting, and establish a ‘common place’ within the neighborhood.
